Embracing my rolls; no more regrets.

For the past 6 years, I have compared myself to my old modelling photos from 15 years ago. No, I was never really a model but I tried to be. Back when I was young, I was thin and fit. My Mom was always super skinny until she got older and the same with me but I got bigger because I got married, then pregnant and figured that my husband at the time would have to love me no matter what, so I let myself go. I went from a size 5 slowly to an 8 then up to 16. I doubled in size.

I see a lot of posts around the internet telling people simple ways to allow less stress into your life and to ways to destress but a lot of those ways just don’t work because the stress just comes back. My 6 year weight battle that’s still going strong.

Working out has been a part of my life since I was 19 years old. Seeing as I had been skinny the entire 19 years of my life, when we noticed that we were gaining a bit of weight from all of the Burger King Chicken Sandwiches with a Poutine on the side, we decided to hit the gym. I did it simply to lose the weight but my boyfriend at the time did it to gain muscle. It didn’t take long before I started to see my body transform into a tiny muscular machine that would continue to grow over the years.
